Supporting Cambodia's Researchers to Analyze Cambodia’s Economic Future

Phnom Penh: The Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED) is joining forces with the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) to embark on a research initiative titled "Cambodia Vision 2030: An Assessment of Cambodia's Upper-Middle-Income Target for Resilient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Growth."

This comprehensive study aims to delve into Cambodia's long-term economic potential and pinpoint essential policies that will propel resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth. The ultimate objective is to guide Cambodia toward achieving its 2030 goal of attaining upper middle-income status.

In a significant step towards achieving this objective, CDRI researchers recently embarked on a visit to the Lowy Institute in Sydney, where they engaged with Australian experts. During this collaborative effort, baseline scenarios were developed, marking a critical milestone in comprehending Cambodia's economic dynamics.

Australia's partnership with CDRI in this research initiative underscores its commitment to supporting Cambodia's economic development and progress towards higher-income status. The study promises to provide valuable insights and recommendations that will contribute to Cambodia's sustainable and inclusive growth in the years leading up to 2030.

As Cambodia continues to evolve and advance on its path to development, initiatives like "Cambodia Vision 2030" play a crucial role in shaping the nation's economic landscape.
